BEAUTIFUL Agony was conceived in late 2003 in response to what we perceived as a vacuum in real erotica on the internet. We wanted to see whether the rest of the world also found "facettes de la petite mort" ("Faces of Little Death", a description for orgasm) so sexy. The Project began as an experiment. A few adventurous friends offered their Agony visages and we designed an elegant, minimalist website which gave the subject matter the dignity it deserved. The response was remarkable and within a few weeks it became obvious the Project could work commercially without selling itself out as a porn site festooned with banner programs and flesh.
